Taking castor oil will help you to induce labor if you are around the 37 to 38 week mark in your pregnancy. You must take castor oil in small dosages or you may experience vomiting and diarrhea which is no fun at all.
In the morning time you can take 1 table spoon of castor oil and drink it directly. If you are having difficulty drinking it because of the taste or smell, you can simply add 1 table spoon of castor oil in a glass of milk or orange juice. This will make it much easier to drink. The combination of milk and castor oil works great because milk coats your stomach real well. If you are not a fan of diary milk than juice, typically orange juice is fine.
After taking the oil in the morning, you want to make sure that you stay hydrated by drinking lots of water through out the day. Hours of the day may go by without any contractions, every person is different. Once it’s time to have your baby, you should not have to worry about vomiting or diarrhea.
